About the Course

Kinesics Training Course 2 shows how, when, and why to utilize the cable-based training to incorporate multi-joint movements into an integrated training and therapy program. The course explores the theory and principles behind cable-based training and explains the importance of cable-based training as a midpoint in the progression between foundational exercises (KTC 1) and traditional strength and conditioning training. This course covers each variable as it relates to Kinesics’ five functional movement patterns (push, pull, rotate, squat, bend), their unique progressions, ascends, and modifications.

Learners can use this as a stand-alone course or in conjunction with our Kinesics Training Course 1: Principles and Concepts in Corrective Exercise

Learning Objectives

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Restate the theory and principles of cable-based training

  • Organize progressions from foundational exercise modules to cable-based exercises

  • Design programs that integrate cable exercises with traditional strength training programs

  • Explain the principles of program design in functionally, integrated programs

  • Recite the six variables of body positioning in cable-based exercises

  • Critique and modify exercise form based on the participant’s alignment, posture, and presence of faulty movement patterns

  • Demonstrate, explain, and cue the participant for all recommended exercise modules

  • Access the Kinesics Integrated Training and Therapy (KITT) Matrix
